Wreaths Across America
Honoring our Veterans

The Rotary Club of Toms River, in partnership with the Fallen Saints Motorcycle Club of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, placed wreaths on the graves of veterans resting in Riverside Cemetery.

Our club members raised $1900.00 for the purchase of 124 wreaths and volunteered to help place them on the graves. We will never forget our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in giving their lives for our freedom.

We are proud to be a part of many service groups across the United States who placed over 14,000 wreaths this December. Many graves in New Jersey go back as far as the Revolutionary War.

The tradition of Wreaths Across America was started in 1992 when a Maine holiday wreath maker, Morrill Worcester wanted to put surplus holiday garland to good use. He arranged for them to be placed at Arlington National Cemetery. The rest is history.
